Procurement Manager
Vårgrønn is looking for an experienced procurement manager to lead and manage our internal purchasing activities, focusing on non-project-related procurement. You will play a key role in driving procurement strategies, optimizing supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance with internal and legal standards. The role will involve close cooperation with the Director of Procurement and other teams across the organisation to support business objectives.
Some of your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Process responsibility for procurement processes in our management system
- Further develop and implement current and new procurement processes in Omega365 and other relevant systems
- Develop, review, and maintain internal procurement strategies, but also input into project procurement strategies to ensure alignment with company and industry standards
- Oversee purchasing and order processing to support day-to-day business operations
- Support contract negotiations with third-party suppliers and ensure compliance with company policies
- Participate in the annual financial planning and budget process, ensuring accurate procurement data is maintained
- Assist in monitoring regulatory activity and ensuring compliance with procurement regulations
Experience and qualifications:
We are looking for someone with a strong background in procurement or supply chain management, preferably within energy, heavy asset or other industries. You should have a proven track record of optimizing procurement processes and managing supplier relationships.
Our preferred candidate has 4-5 years of experience with similar tasks, and a degree in business administration, supply chain or similar. Qualifications within CIPS/NIMA are an advantage.
You should possess strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Experience of collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders is essential, along with familiarity in handling sensitive information and adhering to confidentiality standards.
