About the employer
Alcatel Submarine Networks Norway is a technology company that develops and manufactures fiber optic sensor systems. The company, owned by the French company Alcatel Submarine Networks (ASN), is based at Rosten in Trondheim Norway, and has more than 70 employees.
ASN develops and manufactures advanced fiber optic sensor systems with hydrophones, accelerometers and distributed measurement of dynamic strain in optical fiber cables. These sensor systems are used for seismic, detection of geotechnical events (landslides/earthquakes) and for monitoring critical infrastructure. Our business is growing, and we are now looking for skilled employees to further develop our fiber optic sensor technology.
We are now looking for an analog hardware designer (R&D) for our development department in Trondheim. The development department currently has 24 employees with high competence in software development, fiber optics, signal processing, electronics design, and mechanical design. Analog electronics is a key component in our products, and we now need more skilled resources to contribute to further development in a very exciting and challenging technology area.
You will participate in the development, implementation, and testing of analog electronics tailored for use in lasers, control loops, and optical receivers for our fiber optic sensor systems. You will have the opportunity to work throughout the entire development process, from concept development to product development and then the initiation of production.
